Walking down the aisle songs | Wedding playlist

Updated: Jan 13

It's the moment you have been dreaming of. The door swings open, the petals are being thrown on the floor and a room of your supporting community look on at you with warm smiles and love in their eyes. The one last thing that can make this picture perfect moment even better is the right song. In this post we will give you some suggestions as to what songs will be memorable when you walk down that aisle, and probably get the water works going from your guests.

Songs set the mood and tone of your wedding day especially your wedding ceremony. So here are some things to remember about choosing your wedding ceremony playlist.

You and your fiancé need to decide what kind of wedding ceremony you would like. Do you want a fun and light hearted ceremony that feels upbeat? Or are you both into a little sentiment and tear jerking moments? Deciding what your style is can help you decide what songs you choose.

Songs will also help you and your bridal party know the pace to be strutting down that aisle.

Lastly, it's important that you and your fiancé are happy with your song choices because if you do decide to hire a wedding videography and photography team you would like to make sure that these songs will be timeless to you both.

With all of that out of the way, here is a list of songs that we love to hear during the walk down the aisle.

For the fun and upbeat:

"Happy together" by The Turtles

"Love on top" by Beyonce

"Chapel of Love" by The Dixie Cups

The tear jerkers:

"If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys

"I Will Marry You" by Mean Lady

"Can't Help Falling in Love" sang by Kina Grannis

The Classics:

"At Last" Sang by Etta James

"Canon in D Major" by Pachelbel

"Bridal Chorus" by Wagner

The Unexpected:

"Best Part" by Daniel Caesar

"To know him is to love him" by Amy Winehouse

"You got me" The Roots, Tariq Trotter, Erykah Badu, Eve

We hope that this post has helped you on your wedding planning journey!
